Inclusive education
AbstractChapter 13 of Pacific Education Series Book 6: Inclusive education in the Pacific, edited by Priscilla Puamau and Frances Pene. As critical friend of the regional workshop on inclusive education in the Pacific held in Fiji in 2007, the author takes a critical look at the workshop presentations and the discussions about inclusive education issues, such as the controversy about special versus inclusive education for children with disabilities. She then outlines her ideas regarding the way forward for inclusive education in the Pacific.
